One more note on this mini-project, then on to the next thing: the way the folios line up is a little predictable. Like, when you open it, you see text/pattern/text/pattern/etc., until the order reverses after the center spread (the first book’s actually a little worse about this). So, that’s not good, so I need to work on thinking these things through a lot more in the future. Plus the text could be denser in some places. And a lot more done with a brush. Still fragmented, but more really messy amounts of it. Plus it could go in different directions, sometimes. Or be totally upside-down. Plus, more variety! Anyway, tons yet to learn, as always. Fortunately, I have a huge pile of wooden boxes now and so plenty of reliquary-like spaces in which to put little books.
