Note to Self: Lion

A recolored version of an old digital print I would draw differently now, even though it’s just four years later. I’d still keep the crazy wrong directions of the background layers, though, because of how I like it when they add up to weird new patterns. (My students at Penland heard me preach about this a lot, I think, just like I heard about it from folks who had a huge influence on me, even if it’s taken a longer time than I’d planned for the influence to start bearing fruit). Anyway, I posted this already a while back, but I’m putting up this copy because I need to remember this is sort of roughly what I’m reaching for in one of my next projects. Which I need to have done in exactly a month, which is okay because I’ve learned that deadlines are awesome and so now I totally seek them out instead of doing the opposite.
